Green Pasture I painted this from a reference photo provided by Maggi Olson. I like painting bare trees and winter scenes in general. Gouache (opaque watercolor) is such a wonderful medium. I find it well suited to my style and ability. Most gouache painters don't paint in this style at all, instead, they tend to paint in a more impasto style rather than the niggling way I paint ... different strokes for different folks. This painting is 5" x 8" and double matted with a white under mat, topped with a very pale greenish/gray top mat. The overall matted size is 9-1/4" x 11-3/4. Full price of the matted painting is $160.00 and includes free insured shipping to any destination within the Continental US.
