An Original Gouache (Opaque Watercolor) Matted Painting "Low Tide" With beached fishing boats stranded 'till the tide changes. I painted this while in England in 2004. Probably copied a photo. It's one of the first gouache paintings I attempted. I was so pleased with the result that I promised myself that I would concentrate on the gouache medium and paint many more. Of course, I didn't, and beside trying my hand at a few miniatures, I don't think I ever tried it again. It's a perfect medium for illustration or for folks who like to niggle with detail. I found it recently with a box of small paintings made 10 or more years ago. I've matted a few of them and will list them here on DPW to see if anyone's interested. The painting is in pristine condition. Never previously matted or framed. The mats I've applied are acid-free. The top one being a light warm gray. Painting size is 4-1/2" x 6-1/2" The overall size with the mats is 8" x 10" (stock frame size). The full price of the matted painting is $90.00 Packing and insured shipping is free.
