Pennsylvania Covered Bridge An original matted watercolor by Pennsylvania artist David Young I believe that Pennsylvania has more covered bridges in use today than any other state in the country. I've painted several of them in the past. I painted this from a sketch I made several years ago and and at the time, didn't record which bridge it was. I believe it's the Kurtz's Mill bridge in Lancaster County which opened for use in 1876 - 148 years ago. I've mounted the watercolor onto board to prevent buckling. Double acid-free mats with the top being a slightly warm gray. Suits the painting well. the painting sight size is 7-1/2" x 9-1/2" with the outside mat dimension being 13" x 14-1/2". The wide mat borders could be trimmed down a bit to fit a smaller frame if necessary. Full price of the double matted painting is $160.00 and includes free insured shipping to any destination within the Continental US.
