S.S. Tivives - A gouache (opaque watercolor) matted painting by Pennsylvania artist David Young. The Tivives was a freighter circa 1910, of the United Fruit Co. - Their approx 100 ships was known as the 'Great White Fleet. They carried mostly bananas and a few passengers from the tropics to Europe and North America. The painting was completed in October, 2023 and is in excellent condition. The custom mat is acid free with a hand drawn line surrounding the opening. (The mat looks keystoned in the pic but it really isn't. It's the result of using a hand held camera). The painting sight size is 4" x 10" and with the mat, comes to 7-3/4" x 13-1/4" Full price of the painting with mat is $175.00 and will be shipped free with insured postage to any destination within the Continental US.
