An original, framed, fine oil painting of the paddle steamship "RMS Persia", circa 1863 First, please note that this is a tiny painting! Not a miniature exactly, but it won't fit over your fireplace, either. Launched in 1856, the "Persia" was the pride of the Cunard Line. At the time, she was the largest ship in the world. In only a few months after her launch, she captured the Blue Riband as the fastest ship crossing the Atlantic, a distinction she held onto for seven years. She was eventually scrapped and broken up on the Thames in London in 1872. The full price of this original framed painting is $325.00 Handling, packing and insured shipping is free.
