During 2020 when I couldn't go out to paint or get together with my friends to paint, I decided to practice my portraits. I don't know where I found the image. I frequent many websites. Paint my Photo, Sktchy, Short Dog Studio to name a few.
Thank You to Short Dog Studio and Bill Taylor Photography for sharing this image. This painting is on prepared heavy weight paper with 1 coat of gel medium and 3 coats of gesso. This process gives me a really nice surface to paint on, isn't expensive, is really easy to store (if necessary) and is almost as archival as canvas. There is a 1/4 " white boarder around the 6x6" image.This artwork will be varnished to bring out even better color.If purchased, I will be happy to mount it on hardboard just let me know. thanks for looking.
