Chateau Mirabeau was perfectly situated on a hill overlooking the river La Durance. Both, the castle and the city jeweler were known far beyond the departement's borders. Movie stars, politicians and especially romantic high society newlyweds loved the phantastic creations of master goldsmith La Roques. For Marie-Claire and Alfonse such valuables were far beyond their financial possibilities.
