The exercise from Thursday - to paint a picture with as few strokes as possible - was an extraordinary challenge. I have modified this and changed to a small painting marathon. I painted the next 12 pictures almost simultaneously. I started - as always - with the darkest color and then getting brighter all the way to white. One by one, I used (from picture 1 to picture 12) always the same color. The goal of this exercise is a) to paint quickly and b) to reduce information in c) a consistent style with d) the same colors, which e) creates an "inner harmony" within this series.
