Today another small lesson: Yesterday's and today's portraits are not particularly demanding, anatomically correct or perfect. And they are not supposed to be. These small works should rather be seen as sketches. A sketch is a first draft and painting one of these small pieces takes a maximum of 15 minutes. So there is always something unfinished and crude - without too many details. The motto is: Just do it! After the quick painting follows either fast disenchantment or positive surprise. Some things - see yesterday - turn out to be ready for the trash. But in this picture I spontaneously like the skin tones and the blues. The motive "works", as we say. And sometimes a casual sketch is ten times more interesting than a sophisticated photorealistic portrait. But don't worry, there are not 97 more portraits to follow. But Sunday will be the end of the spook! Today another small lesson: Yesterday's and today's portraits are not particularly demanding, anatomically correct or perfect.
