You may know the Pareto principle? It says that in 20% time 80% work is done. The rest often just drags on and is "bells and whistles" and procrastination. As almost always, I made all 3 paintings in parallel. I finished the three b/w backgrounds in about 20% of the total time. (See second image) That almost does it.
