Black and white painting keeps you trapped in Venice once you've started it. So I always made a lot of different ones and later I painted them in watercolor or acrylic. The advantage of the bi-color is the reduction to the essence of the motif. Otherwise you will (especially in Venice) be killed by the variety of colors and shapes.
