In the original photography there was a small farmhouse right in the middle, which I originally painted in there as well. But with it inside the painting looked quite boring.Note: For compositional reasons you should never set the focus of the painting exactly in the middle. With landscapes it is helpful to have a "path" that the eye of the viewer can follow.
