Media: Oil on Raised Hard Wood
Size: 7x5 in
This original painting of a "1950 Ford Crestline Grill" is painted on a 5x7 raised hard wood panel. The work is part of a series of eight paintings of close-up views of chrome and grillwork on vintage automobiles. I was fascinated with the abstract nature in the reflections and how to achieve the shinyness of the chrome and body of each car. All the reference photos are my own and were taken at the Hershey Auto Show in Pennsylvania. This piece is varnished and framed in a black wood floater frame, signed on the back, wired and ready to hang. Also available are limited edition Giclee prints of this series.
