Gouache from the series “Mostar. Old city”. Mostar is a city in Bosnia and Herzegovina, famous for its bridge. In the 16th, a magnificent bridge was built by order of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. Now the Old Bridge is protected by UNESCO. Many tourists, having seen the Old Bridge, believe that they recognized the whole of Mostar. However, the city is not limited to one bridge. My task, both as a tourist guide and as an artist, is to show people undiscovered parts of Mostar. Series of gouaches “Mostar. Old Town” has exactly this goal. Under the tower Several mills were once built on the outskirts of Halebija tower. Now they have turned into cafes. The background is the steep slopes of the Hum Hill.
