What does a humble donkey know that we don’t? On Palm Sunday, the donkey carried the King of Kings. Most had no idea…but the donkey knew! This piece invites you to ponder the impact of Holy Week and all that it means to so many. As I painted "The Donkey Knew," I aimed to express a sense of wonder at all God’s complexities, attention to detail, and all encompassing love. The gentle gaze reveals the character, depth, and secret joy of an animal “knowing” its mission.
