One day in early October, I heard bird jabbering. It went on all afternoon. Curious, I went out to see what kind of bird it was. There in the tree right above me was a family of Blue Jays, an adult and 3 or 4 fledglings! So cute!! The day before, I had put out peanuts for the crow couple I feed. Little did I know, peanuts are favorites of blue jays!! Boy, were they happy! The beauty of nature can be expressed in so many ways. In this piece, I present an unforgettable glimpse of a Florida Blue Jay, perched with a poised elegance. Each brushwork reveals the vibrant colors that make this bird truly unique.
