I painted this as part of a 5 day daily painting challenge. It was done almost entirely with a palette knife. The reference was a photo I took from an achorage off the Chesapeake Bay. It is called Mill Creek. There are literally scores of creeks named Mill Creek off the numerous rivers off the Chesapeake. This Mill Creek is off of Ingram Bay south of the Potomac River.
