Media: Palette knife using acrylic on 6 x
Size: 6x9 in
I love lighthouses and just had to include one in this winter challenge. This light house is really called Pigeon Point Lighthouse and was built in 1871 to guide ships on the Pacific Coast of California. It is the tallest lighthouse on the West Coast of the United States, and is still an active Coast Guard aid to navigation. This was painting on a 6 x 9 canvas using a palette knife and a bit of brush work for the finer details. Photo reference used by Photographer Regine Frank.Comes varnished, with sides painted, a saw-tooth hook, and with Authentication Papers.
