A bit of adventure painting outside. I brought those chrysanthemums out into the woods to paint, yes they are still alive. After lugging everything out and setting up I dove in. I was so engaged that I didn't notice 3 deer walk by about 30 feet away. They didn't notice me until they had passed. I was so excited, I felt like Snow White, until the young buck ran up close, snorted at me and stamped his hoof a few times. Then I felt a bit silly and nervous he may try to charge me 🙃 he stayed about 15 feet away and the other deer called him. He went back and forth a few times checking on me. I painted a little quicker with one eye on him the whole time. All I could think were the headlines this would make if he did indeed trample me. He eventually wandered off before I stubbornly finished my painting. Gotta love plein air adventures 6x8 inch oil on panel A bit of adventure painting outside.
