This was a quick study for my Saturday morning plein air class to demonstrate John Carlson's aerial perspective from his book, "Carlson's Guide to Landscape Painting". It was a wonderful sunny morning in Scottsdale, AZ at around 80 degrees. This is Camelback Mountain and the hump on the right is supposed to be the Camel's head, also if you look close there is a formation on the far right that is called the "Praying Monk".
