This lake is close to my sister-in-law's home in Denver. We went there with her for a nature walk the day after her beloved husband, Ron passed away, a year ago next week. It was a favorite spot of theirs. We watched all kinds of birds and took tons of photos. This avocet was one of my favorites. Painting this picture reminded me of that beautiful, sad day and how much we all miss him. He was a very sweet and gentle man. This lake is close to my sister-in-law's home in Denver.
