This was a Plein air painting started on an outing with the Santa Fe Pleinairians. I hiked in almost a mike on the Spru Trail to this arroyo. It was beautiful when I set up but the longer I painted the harder the wind blew. Thank heavens for my Day Tripper Easel which held up beautifully. Then the rain started, so I had to pack up and hurry home. So this painting was mostly painted in Plein air but finished up in the studio.
