I took this photo of a grackle on my birdbath through the living room window. I love that zoom on my camera. I couldn't tell just looking, but when I was able to zoom in I realized that bird had a small snake in it's beak. It kept dipping it in the water and trying to bite off bits of it. Sometimes it would hold one end down with it's claws and yank on it with it's beak. It also tossed it off the bird bath several times and then went and retrieved it. Finally it flew off with what was left of the hapless snake. I felt I just had to paint it.
