If this painting bears any vague resemblance to one of Qiang's it's only because we were painting the same still life set up today in class. His demo is far more artistic and accurate than mine, however, with his help, I was pleased with my results. It's amazing the subtleties he can see and then paint. I can see it will take me years and years to really "get" it.
