This unusual juxtaposition of items included one of my mother's favorite teacups. It was in her "vitrine" full of treasures as long as I can remember. After she died, the saucer was accidentally broken. I gave the cup to Qiang to use in his still life set ups, so now it's been memorialized in a number of paintings both by Qiang Huang and also by some of his students. I think Mom would like that.
