We started out to put together a simple still life to paint in Qiang's mentor class Tuesday. Obviously we failed. This set up was very complex to paint. I decided to try something larger than usual a 16x20. It took me much longer to paint I spent hours on Tuesday and thought about it until today when I put at quite a few more hours into it. My friends will be surprised. I rarely put that long into a painting. I tend to paint fast.
