My mother always gave me paperwhite bulbs around the holidays. She's been gone seven years now but my brother brought me a couple of bulbs. I stuck them in water and they grew and grew. I had them on the kitchen window sill and they grew past the top of the window. They have faded now, but I was glad to have photographed them in their prime so I could paint them.
