This was a still life we set up in Qiang Huang's garage to paint today. I brought the tulips and the rest of the props were Qiang's. Much of the class was held in Chinese (I'm the only one who doesn't speak it), but I got the gist of it from watching Qiang's demo and he translated the important parts for me. He and all the other students did a different set up. Song and I were the only ones working on this one. I was very frustrated through most of it, then suddenly it came together and I ended up being very happy with it. I am so glad to have the opportunity to study with him. He's an amazing artist.
