I was drawn to paint Walnut Creek again but this time en plein air with my painting buddy, Susan. It was a glorious morning (my birthday) sunny, clear and gorgeous. I hadn't planned on the cold nip in the air but it didn't dissuade us. I also hadn't realized how much truck traffic crossed that bridge where we set up, during the day. Each time an 18 wheeler or even a large moving van crossed the bridge our gear shook and we had to wait to lay another stroke lest it be misplaced. This made for a challenging but very enjoyable morning.
