The excitement and community spirit of a small-town rodeo is infectious. I cheered my head off as these two road by bearing flags of the nation and that of their state. Folks show respect as they pass. They go aroung the arena once at a walk, next at a trot and, finally, at a full gallop with flags unfurled and everyone leaning as the make the curves. It can be stirring if one's in the proper state of mind.
