It's time for a late lunch, so the farmer has found himself a shady spot and opened up his insulated lunchbox knowing his wife has made another good one. It is a ham, cheese, fresh tomato slice and lettuce on wheat sandwich with chips and a couple of her home-canned sweet and spicy pickles! But he is out of the frame and all we have left to look at is this quaint arrangement of tractor, tree and grain bins. They tell a story of rural nostalgia enhanced by overlapping visual elements, color, detail, texture, light, shadow and atmospheric perspective. The paper is high quality 140 lb. Arches watercolor paper. Your painting will be inserted into a plastic sleeve and packed carefully in a standard no. 10 business envelope. It is also signed on the front and the back. Sometimes I use gouache (opaque watercolor) and/or colored pencils and pastel pencils in a limited way to enhance the painting.
