This is my last painting of 2020. Robins are here in Tennessee all year round. During the winter, they hang around our bird bath. This is what I call a "quick stroke" watercolor. I spend more time planning and thinking about it than actually painting it. Once I start, there is no going back - like sliding down a hill with no brakes and limited steering. The final effect, however, is worth it with its sense of freshness and spontaneity.
