“Shoulder In”, 6″ x 6″ Oil and Cold Wax, Sharpie Oil Pens, R & F oil sticks & wax crayon on Arches oil paper, buffed to a satin sheen and mounted to 1″ cradled panel. Unframed. Edges are painted white and it can be hung directly on your wall. “Shoulder In” is a fun, colorful piece. Its titling is a play on some equestrian lingo. Shoulder in, is a flatwork movement performed on horseback, which the horse’s shoulder is brought to the inside track, while the hindend stays on the rail. However here, the horse’s shoulder is just “in” the painting 😉
