I referenced a photo by @dyachenkophoto for
this work. The reference photo was in black and white so I took some
artistic license to mix several shade shades of black to add the nuance
that I wanted for all the darks that surrounded the figure. My favorite
shade was achieved by mixing phthalo blue and ivory black. I also took
some liberties to add shades of color to the figure.
Oh, and this line from a #CarlySimon song popped out and lingered
above me in my studio today: "You don't have to prove to me you're
beautiful to strangers ..."
