The clouds were beautiful. I decided to chase them and take photos, and found these cows enjoying dinner with this beautiful show right above them. I wonder if they enjoyed the show, too?

Dinner and a Show received the 2nd place prize in the international Daily Paintworks competition! I just found out this morning, and I'm so excited to be a featured artist, in the company of some of my favorite contemporary artists!

This is one of my favorite paintings from the last few months. A lot more preparation and planning went into this painting than I usually do. I chased those clouds until the sun went down getting source photos, and then I tried out a very focused color theory on the painting, and really like where that experiment went. I've been pleased that collectors have liked it enough to take full size reproductions home. And now it's an "award winning painting."
