Surprisingly, I found this largely intact fish vertebrae on a conservation Trail, or someone had dumped a lot of fish carcasses. It appears to be from pretty large fish, maybe a cod or tuna. I’m going through some back issues with the compressed vertebrae right now, so it was ironic to find these beautiful vertebrae but the cartilage still intact.
