This painting was inspired on New Years Eve day from flowers from my Christmas bouquet. I concentrated on blending the pedal colors and focusing on the shading on the petals. I started with an under painting of a cadmium red on part of it and a blue on the bottom portion. I like the way the delicate white flowers pick up the reflections on the vase.
