I started with a cadmium red underpAinting, to give a feeling of energy, then painted the red and yellow zinnia along with the blue hydrangea. When deciding on the background colors I chose blues to set off the yellow and orange flowers. I also really like the color variations in each flower. This painting easily fits into a 6x6 frame, or if matted into an even larger frame.
