As the sun started going down there were beautiful orangy streaks in the sky behind the catalpa tree. I wet the paper all over, then painted the blue and orange streaks which slowly melted together. Then when the sky was dry, I painted the catalpa tree, the grasses and foreground were done last. As the sun started going down there were beautiful orangy streaks in the sky behind the catalpa tree.
