Those wolves are so much fun to photograph! They like people, and come right up to the windows, so you can get some great reference pics. And I do prefer to paint from my own images, because then it is all truly mine. Except for when I'm painting commissions! Those are most often photos the owners have taken. Which makes sense! I also like the rather rough background on this one. Your attention is drawn even more to the specificity of the face. And the bristle of the coat... Those wolves are so much fun to photograph!
