Wildflowers abound along the trail in spring. Ten miles S.W. of Melbourne in the AR Ozarks, Devil's Knob-Devil's Backbone Natural Area features glades, woodlands, and bluffs along the 1.25 mile hiking trail recently completed by the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission. Providing views of several rare plant species, two knolls are joined by a saddle known as Devil's Backbone seemingly in a different micro-climate. Wildflowers abound along the trail in spring.
