I waited so long to paint this fellow, mostly because all of his photos have been consistently so awesome that I’ve had a hard time picking my favorite. The reference image I ended up using appealed to me for expression, composition and great contrast, and I got to work right away! I absolutely love this breed of dogs, hope you have a soft corner for them as well!
