I had contemplated painting from this reference photo for a few weeks, waiting for the special painting spark to light up inside me to get down to work. I wanted to create a very soft and relaxing painting, the reference photo really helped me providing the great pose and expression. I felt tender and loving brushstrokes pouring out of me, as I was working out the technical challenges of the painting at the same time. I hope this kitty will find a new loving home soon where it can purr at you off the wall and help you relax after a long work day!
