After this very inspired painting session, I have to say, it really helps to feel a genuine excitement to paint a particular subject. Everything about the reference image was calling out to me. The pose and the facial expression, the rhythm of the lines and curves, the distribution of light and dark areas... And to top it off, he is just a very adorable guy, don’t you think?
