I've been very artistically narcissistic these past few months, working mostly on self-portraits..The subject is always readily available and it's a more contemplative way to record the passage of time versus snapping quick selfies. After a while, I forget it's me and get absorbed into the slow study of the facial landscape.
The challenge here was to work with a fairly limited palette made mostly with alizarin and phthalo green in various combinations. They produce nice grays as they neutralize each other.
