Media: Fused Glass Powder Sgraffito Drawing

This is a fused glass sgraffito drawing, sometimes called a 'frit painting'. In this technique I use powdered black glass in place of paint to create a drawing. I use lots of different things to create my glass drawings, including rubber tipped tools, a business card, and my fingers. When the drawing is finished, I add hundreds of tiny bits of colored glass to develop areas of interest, and then fire the entire frit painting in the kiln to melt all the layers of glass into each other.
