I went to this cafe for breakfast when I was teaching out of town. There was a man there who was apparently not quite right mentally. He looked cold and hungry. We secretly bought him a coffee and bagel and left. I wonder about the man often ,and wonder if he is cold and hungry a lot. I want the proceeds from the sale of this painting to go to this coffee shop in Benton Harbor, MI to start a sort of 'kindness fund' in honor of that man, for any random person to have a coffee and be warm.
