I was inspired to paint this as part of my Navy series after the Benghazi attack. I hope we never forget how long their screams for help went unanswered and the ultimate sacrifice they gave in service of American citizens and freedom. (This painting has been gifted to the family of Navy Seal Danny Dietz, who died in service of his country during Operation Red Wings in 2005)
