This painting was started en plein air at the Owenego Beach Club in Branford Ct. I had been searching around for homes that had gardens by the sea. I just love creating colorful garden paintings with the blue ocean water in the background. The first time I stepped on the grounds at Owenego I knew this would be a wonderful place to paint. After receiving permission to paint on the grounds, I brought my students the following week for our Thursday morning Plein air class. They loved the location too!
