Yesterday morning I was out early with my painting buddy Patty at Bauer Park in Madison, CT. Lots of different scenes to choose from but I love this cool spot behind a big tree at 8am... by 9:30 the sun was blazing down on me...I had to tip my baseball cap real low to block the sun but I thought it all was worth it.... yes, a monarch butterfly did land on the pink flowers in front of me so I quickly painted it in.
